About Me

0 min read...

I am a physician who grew up in India in a small town of 90K souls. Yes, a population of 90K makes a small town in India. The pursuit of excellence in psychiatry training landed me in the US. I have practiced in big cities and small towns in India and the US.

I am hooked on the artful application of evidence-based medicine. My psychiatric training, becoming a father, marrying my wife, and losing her to cancer have been the biggest influences on my adult life.  Professionally, I breathe and live addiction medicine, psychiatry, and population health.

In Jan. 2024, I joined Toastmasters. I have always been interested in public speaking as tool to inform, persuade, entertain and inspire. But at work, I only do public speaking to inform and persuade. So, for fun, I decided to work on my entertaining and inspiring public speaking.

Here, on my blog, I write to reflect on whatever I fancy – including but not limited to medicine, addictions, cancer, loss, grief…and now public speaking.

Thank you for reading and sharing.
