I am a physician who grew up in India in a small town of 90K souls. Yes, a population of 90K makes a small town in India. The pursuit of excellence in psychiatry training landed me in the US. I have practiced in big cities and small towns in India and the US.
I am hooked on the artful application of evidence-based medicine. My psychiatric training, becoming a father, marrying my wife, and losing her to cancer have been the biggest influences on my adult life. Professionally, I breathe and live addiction medicine, psychiatry, and population health. Here, on my blog, I write to reflect on whatever I fancy – including but not limited to medicine, addictions, cancer, loss, and grief.
Thank you for reading and sharing.
